Yi glows in modern moods: anyi (comfortable) Sunday mornings, piaoyi (graceful, floating) a dancer's exit, yishi (anecdote) about the late founder, yitwen (untold tales) in the biography. Darker is taoyi (flee the scene) — the driver who kept going. Ease and escape, still one character.
