Read the story behind the character

Feng seasons modern calendars: xiangfeng (meet) by chance at the reunion, chongfeng (reunite) with a college roommate after a decade, meifeng (whenever) the semester ends the airport swells, and the folk blessing fengxiong-huaji — meet misfortune and it turns to luck. Even fengying (fawn) reminds that meetings can be managed, not just given.

Why this character belongs on skin

Two roads that were never meant to cross suddenly do, and the Chinese call that crossing 逢. It is the chance meeting, the stranger who becomes fate the moment your eyes lock across a train car. The Buddhists speak of such encounters as karma ripening in a single breath; the Daoist smiles and says the river brought you both. To wear 逢 is to believe in the collision of lives, that nothing is accident. You have known these moments, the room, the timing, the person who rearranged your weather. A warrior meets his equal on the bridge and knows the duel was written long before. This character is a tattoo of faith in the unseen choreography of the world. It says you are ready to be found, that you walk expecting the improbable. Let it mark you as one who trusts the crossing, who steps onto the bridge without asking where the other came from or where the two of you will go.
