尊 · Cheng Miao
Zūn (1st tone). The Shuowen reads 尊 as 「酒器也。从酋，廾以奉之」 — ‘a wine vessel; from 酋 (fermented liquor) and 廾 (two hands offering it up).’ The vessels of sacrifice became the verb ‘to honour’. Confucius makes it a rule of conduct: 《论语·尧曰》 「尊五美，屏四恶 $9.00 – Purchase Checkout Added to cart
